A heartwarming winter for the homeless (2009/12/26) Greetings from US Tzu Chi 360, I am Johnny Chang. Because of the high cost of living in New Jersey, a family of four needs twice the income of the federal poverty level of 20,000 US dollars to self-sufficient. There are 1.7 million people, a fifth of the state's population are considered poor. For the past 10 years, New Jersey Tzu Chi volunteers cooperate with "Elijah's Promise" soup kitchen, provide hot meals to the hungry. They provide endless love and care for these people in their struggle for life.
